About Us
The International Accordion Museum was founded in 1981 thanks to the RAI “Portobello” broadcast which procures the first 35 accordions for the opening. Now there are more than 200 instruments on display including accordions, accordions, bandoneons, harmoniums and musical boxes, which tell the story of the Italian accordion industry and its protagonists, starting from that Paolo Soprani from which everything began back in 1863. It is located in the seventeenth-century basement of the Town Hall and is spread over an area of 500 square meters, divided into seven exhibition halls.
